
In the fourth quarter of 2021, the People’s Bank of China (PBOC) completed central bank ratings for 4,398 banking financial institutions.From the trend point of view, the number of high-risk institutions has halved from the peak, declining for six consecutive quarters.The number of high-risk institutions nationwide has decreased by 333 from the peak, and the total assets of 316 high-risk institutions account for only 1% of the total assets of the banking industry.In terms of regional distribution, the number of stock high-risk institutions shows regional concentration.By the end of 2021, 11 provinces (municipalities, autonomous regions) had no high-risk institutions, and 13 provinces (municipalities, autonomous regions) had high-risk institutions in single digits.The stock of high-risk institutions is mainly concentrated in four provinces.
